Night sights or red dots

I've been considering upgrading my carry pistol. Are night sights enough for low-light defense, or is a red dot worth the investment?

What kind of situations are you expecting to use it in? Like, are we talking home defense in dark hallways or potentially outdoors? That might help decide if the red dot's worth the extra bulk and battery worry

Red dots are nice but they add bulk and complexity, so unless you're doing serious low-light training regularly, I'd stick with good tritium sights

Mostly just everyday carry stuff

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning toward too, I'm not doing tactical training or anything..I just want something reliable that works when I need it, yeah Tritium sights seem like the practical choice
