I've used .22 pistols for years, and i think they've probably made my shooting skills better than anything else. Light recoil lets me see every mistake I make and the affordable ammo lets me practice more without worrying about the cost (I am big on this). Just shooting a .22 has fixed my grip and sight alignment countless times.
