Hot take: staying warm starts the night before

Eating a big meal before bed, staying hydrated and getting actual sleep...matters more than any gear. I've seen guys show up sleep deprived and dehydrated wondering why they're freezing in the stand. Your cold weather prep should start 12 hours before. Agree or disagree?
 
One thing I want to do this year is drink enough water. I didn't realize how much it helps with staying warm
 
Bad sleep messes with you. Gear helps, but what you eat and how much you rest decide how long you can focus when things get tough.
