Hit up the Narragansett Bay this weekend, mainly targeting stripers. Water was a little choppy, but the weather was surprisingly warm for this time of year. Used some classic topwater plugs and had a couple of decent strikes right at dawn, but no solid hookups. Eventually switched to a chunk of bunker and managed to land a couple of schoolies. Fished solo this time, which was nice for a change, though I missed the usual company. How about everyone else? How are the fish biting in your neck of the woods?

It sounds like a great day, man. I was out on Lake Champlain few weeks back with my kid, chasing bass. The water was calm, bites were steady, and we brought home a couple keepers

Sounds like a solid solo mission, man...at least the schoolies kept you honest! Around here the fish must’ve taken a vacation, because I spent more time feeding mosquitoes than getting bites. Guess that’s fishing…

Smart move switching to bunker when topwater didn't work. See any big bluefish go after it? The bass around here are picky eaters, only going for the fancy shrimp
