I have been using cheap safety glasses from the hardware store and they work but they fog up and I look like a dork. I saw some guys with nice shooting glasses that probably cost a fortune. Is it worth spending money on good eye pro or is cheap fine?

Getting better eye protection was worth it for me. Anti-fog coatings and making sure they fit right made range days a lot more comfortable. Cheap safety glasses are fine until they start getting in the way when you're trying to shoot.

Investing in quality shooting glasses prevents fogging and protects your eyes long-term.

I got better eye pro mostly to stop the fog. And it turns out clear lenses and a good fit are way more important than looking cool. I can now shoot for longer before having to wipe my lenses all the time.
