Wildlife encounter that went bad

Racoons got into our cooler first night out. They destroyed everything. I thought we secured it but those things are smart. We lost all our food and had to end the trip early. What's your worst wildlife camping story?

One time, a skunk just wandered right into our camp at dusk. Nobody even saw it until we smelled it. Yeah, we got sprayed, it was not fun...

That’s a rough way to start a trip. Once raccoons lock onto a food source, they’re basically problem solvers with paws. Always double bag and hang everything higher now.

One night deep in the Ozarks, around 3 a.m., a skunk just wandered right into our tent. We all held our breath for about forty minutes. Nobody got sprayed but I swear I aged ten years that night.

A bear somehow got into our bear canister and left it dented twenty yards from camp. Still have no clue how it happened.
